Tamang Society of Texas has announced the celebration of Sonam Lhochhar 2026 – Year of the Horse, marking the Tamang New Year with a vibrant cultural program in Irving, Texas.
The celebration will take place on Friday, January 31, 2026, starting from 6:00 PM onwards at Las Lomas Irving Banquet Halls Event Center, Diamond Hall, located at 3761 Irving Mall, Irving, TX 75062.
Sonam Lhochhar is one of the most important festivals in the Tamang calendar. Observed according to the lunar system, the festival symbolizes new beginnings, blessings, and the renewal of positive energy. Families and community members traditionally gather to honor cultural values, strengthen social bonds, and welcome the New Year together.
