The Tamang Society of NSW (New South Wales) is a community-based, non-profit organization established to unite, represent, and empower the Tamang community living in Sydney and across NSW, Australia. The society works actively to preserve and promote the cultural heritage, language, and traditions of the Tamang people, one of Nepal’s largest indigenous ethnic groups.
Formed by dedicated community members, the society serves as a central hub for cultural exchange, mutual support, and social harmony. Through regular programs and initiatives, it strengthens community bonds while encouraging positive engagement with Australia’s multicultural society.

Community Activities & Cultural Programs
The Tamang Society of NSW organizes and supports major cultural, religious, and social events, including:
- Sonam Lhosar (Tamang New Year)
- Buddha Jayanti
- Cultural festivals, religious gatherings, and community meetings
