Introduction
Nepal Tamang Ghedung (NTG) is an autonomous and non-profit making Tamang Peoples' national organization. It was reorganized in 1988 and registered with His majesty's government of Nepal in 1990. The 51 member national executive committee is the decision making body in between two National Conventions at the national levels. NTG has its own branches in 62 out of 75 districts of Nepal and 500 village level committee all over the country.

Objectives:
1.   To preserve, promote the language, scripts, arts, skill, literature, history, religion and culture, and socio-eco-political and civil rights of the Tamang Peoples in Nepal.

2.   To promote the human rights, women, children and indigenous peoples’ rights on the basis of Universal Declaration of Human rights, Bills of Rights and emerging rights in the international arena.

3.   To aware about the constitutional and legal system and the customary rights and promote the democratic rights, culture and values in Nepal.

4.       To contribute in the national and international standard setting processes for the establishment of the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples and marginalised communities who are historical victims of racial, ethnic or national, linguistic, religious and regional discrimination.

5.     To develop and promote friendly relation and partnership with other ethnic communities to strengthen the national unity and all round development of the country and to network with the national and international organisations of similar objectives.

Organization Structure:
National convention : an assembly of representation and observers elected by the district conference at four-years interval.

National Executive Committee : a central decision-making body of 51 members elected from National Convention.

Central Secretariat : a working body consisting of Seventeen members responsible for carrying out the day-to-day activities of the organization. There are also Five Permanent

a. Women Committee
b. Lama Committee
c. Culture Committee
d. Student Committee
e. Youth Committee
f. Media & Public Relation Committee

Advisory Board : Consists of renowned social activists, scholars and politicians irrespective of political ideologies.

District Convention and committee : an assembly of representatives of village Committees of a district and its elected working committee.

Primary Committee : an assembly at the bottom of organization structure on village, town.
