5. At Present - 'National Technical Advisor' in Bilingual Education Project, Nepal

  • Work starting from 23 April 2007 for two and half years as a National Technical Advisor in Bilingual Education Project, Department of Education, Inclusive Educations Section, Sanothimi, Bhaktapursupported by Finland Government. It is pilot program on Bilingual Teaching in the schools of the country and never before in the history of education in Nepal.

    • This field study was conducted in Dhankuta District by a group of high-level researchers as 'Folk language and Folk Communication' by a Linguist (1), 'Folk Literature and Performing Arts' by a Folklorist (1), 'Material Folk Culture and Folk Heritage' by a Human Geographer (1) and 'Socio-Cultural Folklife and Folkways' by an Anthropologist (1) with latest sophisticated instruments.

  • Worked as a consultant to conduct PRA Planning and Community Mobilization of Highly Marginalized Groups (Danuwar, Majhi and Bote) of Siraha, Saptari, Udaipur and Sindhuli Districts for 'Janajati Empowerment Project (JEP)', Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN), Lalitpur and financial supported by Enable State Program, DFID.

Key Responsibility

    • Develop different social mobilization, planning and PRA tolls and methodology and train the group mobilizers in these respects in order to take the assigned job responsibilities.
    • Participate and guide the team members, enumerators and group mobilizers in the fields from the beginning to the end of the study
    • Prepare guidelines to implement different projects such as saving and credit, pig/ goat farming and other income generating activities for the main and sub-Committees.
    • Work closely with the Project Coordinator to undertake the fieldwork as well as to prepare the reports and submit to Janajati Empowerment Project (JEP) accordingly.

  • Worked as a Project Coordinator in 'School and Community Health Project' in 15 VDCs of Southern Kavre of Central Nepal (Highly Conflict Area) supported by His Majesty's Government of Nepal and Japan International Cooperative Agency (JICA) / Japan Medical Association (JMA). Project implemented through 'SAGUN', a National NGO, KTM.

  • To take initiatives for successful project designing, planning and implementation;
  • To appoint staffs as required by the proposal and provide orientation classes for them;
  • To facilitate situation analysis, planning, monitoring, supervision and evaluation of the entire project related activities and to assist the staffs;

  • To co-ordinate to conduct training on identified issues and programs;
  • To facilitate staffs to strengthen the existing Community Based Organizations;
  • To make sustainable relationship with Japan Medical Association (JMA) and develop required working plan, budget and reports;
  • To facilitate and select the proposals submitted by stakeholders of the peripheral Village Development Committees (VDCs) and propose to JMA, Kathmandu Office
  • Prepare guidelines to implement different projects such as saving and credit, pig/ goat farming and other income generating activities for the main and sub-Committees.
  • To ensure adequate documentation of the activities and prepare different reports as required.
